Chateau Lynch-Moussas 2016 Pauillac 5eme Cru

Classic Pauillac from this 5th growth tucked away on the Western (inland) side of the Appellation, somewhat between Grand Puy-Lacoste and Batailley. Deep yet elegant with dark fruits, morels, and pencil shavings trimmed in sage and tarragon, and Virginian tobacco. The palate has good density and concentration, which to me has been an issue in the past, and has real delineation on the finish which is shaded with graphite mineral touches. Blackberry, cassis, turned earth all present in array along the structure before that elegant finish, trimmed with mint that adds lift and freshness. Very fine. - David
