"The 2025 Yarra Valley Pinot Noir from Brian Conway's Trapeze label exudes Yarra classicism: sous bois and ceps act as an entr'acte to dark cherry fruit, oak bark, sweet soil tones, along with a discreet trimming of oak. Fruit is certainly playing second fiddle at this stage to savoury, bosque aromatics. The palate is utterly silken - few peers in the Yarra in this regard, and none at this price. No hollows and good intensity, luxurious in feel with very fine tannins. Dark cherry mingles with cocoa, plum, walnuts and that lovely not of ceps again.
