Tony Bornard 2020 Vin de France Savagnin 'Amphore Mammouth Georgien'

"Part of an experiment with three different vessels for maceration. Similar style to the amphora, a 700 litre Georgian Qvevri was buried beside Philippe Bornard’s house for this cuvee. It’s an amber wine with immense energy and drinkability but complexity too. There are spices such as cloves and liquorice on the nose and white fruits such as apricots and peaches. It’s quite extraordinary." - Will
