"A lovely dark ruby-garnet with a hint of midnight pitch to the centre of the glass. I sense a nod to Gonon and St. Joseph here.
Savoury aromas unwind slowly in the glass: green olives, some bacon fat (no brett.!), and dab of plum preserve and liqueur cherries, together with fresher crushed blackberries flirting from the aromatic edges. Lovely weight and feathery tannins at play, again silken palate presence. Some oak lends support to charred plums, spice cake, classic and bush garrigue, dried Greek ‘Mammoth’ olives along with a hint of Spanish tapenade, and a herbal (bouquet garni of bay, thyme, rosemary) inflected finish. Very finely judged and perfect with a warming Tagine." - David
