"2024 Huon Valley Chardonnay from vines coming up to their 43rd birthday.
Attractive straw yellow in the glass. Pithy grapefruit and fresh Meyer lemon, white peaches and honeysuckles, the fruit is teetering towards Chassagne, dare I say. Appropriate use of French wood and some considered winemaking has brought on some gentle pastry cream and oxy nuttiness poised above the voluptuous mass of pure white fruit. This is so hedonistic, no doubts about it, but the sculpted acid line and mineral inflicted finish make sure it doesn’t feel flabby. Very Moreish." - David
