“A full and ruddy orange, yet perfectly transparent at the same time; zero turbidity. Powerful nose of cooked and fresh apricots and peaches, salted peach skin, pressed linen, and sweet smoked fat. The nose for sure has a depth hidden behind its upfront charms; I think of leatherwood honey, mineral nuances, and dried herbs. This is amber wine con brio. Dried and salted peach, hints of pickled ginger, melted wax. This is a wine you can really sink your teeth into, there is a toothsome quality that makes it ‘chewy’. The palate is fully structured, with highly sapid acidity to match the robust wax and fruit-laden flavours that proliferate before the smoky, salty close.”
