"A slightly turbid garnet tending tawny, the Kopke NV Rose Port is a new project released in modern 500ml bottles, differing enormously to both previous offerings from this ancient house and what is available generally internationally from Porto. 

A most alluring nose of nostalgic cough drop and antique lolly-store qualities the blend with more delineated red cherry, Dr. Pepper (at least I think, as I have never drunk a Dr. Pepper’s Soda), balsa wood, dried tangerine peel, and anise. The palate is brighter and fresher than either the colour or aromatics would suggest, with a brilliant wave of chalky acidity running from lips to back palate and carrying tart red cherry and cranberry notes, boiled raspberry lollies, and bitter orange peels. Very quaffable in lieu of Vermut Negre." — David
