"Much like the Black Labels of old ... " — Joshua Cooper

"A fully opaque ruby-violet; swathes of luridity. An aromatic profile suggestive of great depth; at the bottom of a well, paved in mossy bluestone, lurks cherry preserve, crushed blackberry, and an inkling of cassis; stepping back, a curl of dark chocolate and a hint of blood orange; then closer to the surface still, fresh thyme and mint, bush leaf litter, bay laurel, and a touch of loam. I describe in this fashion as there a sense of not of transparency but of changing perspective to the aromatics. The palate is fresh on attack, silken, and framed by fine tannins that crest a rise of acidity that appears late in the middle of three parts, before tapering off informed by tannin and phenolic in tandem, with repeating savoury notes on the close. Dense morello cherry and bay, some black raspberry; mineral touches; then thyme beforefurther bay and bitter black chocolate  nuances as the wine slowly tapers off. Very fine." — David
