The Breuer Rudesheim Riesling, a single-village wine, offers exceptional value and is a laser-like insight into both Theresa Breuer's winemaking and the geological underpinnings of the Rudesheim terroir. A rare, age-worthy wine at the entry level this wine requires a bit of coaxing from the glass with air revealing notes of greengage and tart yellow peach, white flowers, and wet granite. The palate is vibrant, brimming with tart stone fruit, citrus zests, and broken stones. There is a quality of purity about this wine, something the eludes the otherwise overly ripe wines of the Rheingau at this level. Excellent. - David
