Domaine Remoriquet 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru ‘Les Bousselots’

“Situated on the lower-mid slope on the Vosne-side of Nuits again, on clay-rich soils here. There is no escaping my bias here. Bousselots remains one of my favourite NSG 1er Crus; it is always so giving, sumptuous, and present, yet Nuits shines through with definition and olfactory firmness. Dried rose petals, which gain freshness with aeration and magically return to full herbacity, lead blood plum, red cherry, and cassis. Some spice and balsam lurk in the background. The lighter end of medium-bodied on the palate with a tensile line of refreshing acidity, and a very fine quality to the tannins. Red and black fruits mingle with market spices and light ore minerality. The finish has pleasing blood orange bitterness with some pith emerging that in time will be rendered satiny. What more could I want from Bousselots; expressive, superb.” - David
