"The [Domaine Leroy] Bourgogne Aligote is in a class by itself." Antonio Galloni, on the 2010 Vintage

"The Leroy 2014 Aligote remains crystal clear, etched in my memory. The bottle volunteered by a very generous and eccletic collector. Sampled by full glass at a fine wine dinner following a tasting in mid-2021, it unwinds in the glass as a tripartite elixir: part representation (for this earthly mortal) of the vaunted house style, part purest essence of Aligote, part great white Burgundy. A pale straw with shimmering green highlights; still very fresh and unevolved with hints of hazelnut and green walnut together with clearly delineated white-green orchard fruit, still warm baguettes, broken rock, and meadow flowers. The palate is intense and focused yet gains volume and satiny texture with time. Fresh pear and apple, varietal (rather than oak-based) baking spices, citrus zests, and white florals all grace the palate before the mineral inflected, lip-smackingly sapid finish. Regardless of the cepage and humble level this remains one of the very greatest white Burgundies I have ever sampled. Bon vin indeed." - David, notes from sharp memory
