Dappled 2024 Yarra Valley Chardonnay 'Appellation'

The Dappled 2024 Yarra Valley Chardonnay ‘Appellation’ is a lovely yellow streaked with green highlights in the glass, beckoning the nose in with airy aromas of ripe orchard fruit, crushed citrus leaf, and hints of toasted bran. For the price point, this wine has ample density, a beautiful silken palate presence (a hallmark of all the Dappled wines), and excellent balance between fruit and structuring acidity/phenolics. A core of roasted wheat and toasted bran (i.e., lees-derived flavours) is wrapped in ripe pear and yellow stonefruit, hints of white chocolate, and confit citrus. The finish is sneakily long, with saline and mineral accents on the close." - David
