Craiglee 2023 Sunbury Chardonnay

"A brilliant yellow-gold in the glass. Ripe pear, tangerine, and white florals form the aromatic core, with poached pear/brown spices (anise, nutmeg, cassia), toasted bran, broken rock and warm earth scents, together with crushed almonds in support. The palate has ample flesh with a very keen line of acidity (not softened by malo-lactic fermentation) and mineral qualities to balance. Poached pears, white mushroom, ripe citrus and orchard fruits jostle for attention with freshness and lushness in equal measure. Very long. All in all a serious, white fruited chardonnay with ample breadth coupled to powerful, pulsating acidity and minerality. Complexity too." - David
