"Blessed with an concentration unseen in previous vintages, together with an overall riper profile, the 2022 Fleurie from Camille Melinand is redolent of sweet blood plums, black cherries, morello, and marjoram. Underscoring these dark fruited aromas is a faint line of spice and broken granite, with deep red Lincoln roses, cracked pepper, and sweet soil tones providing more elevated nuances. The palate is filled with juicy fruit, silken in feel; tannins make their presence felt along with a small rise of structuring acidity. Finishes bright and plump. Morello cherry jam, plum preserve, hints of cooked quince; spice and cocoa; and plump red fruit repeating on the finish. Simply delicious." — David
