“Meine lieben Leser,
I am delighted to announce a special event at Le Tuffeau: A guided tasting through the classical Mittelmosel region presented by two of the shining vinous lights in my life: the sterling Iain ‘St-Hune’ Cameron and the renowned Euan ‘Kimmeridgean’ McKay. Iain is a stalwart of the industry, familiar to those of you that attended our first ever tasting with Jean Trimbach; Euan is a vaunted figure in the Australian wine industry, I would consider him a guide in all things Burgundy, Chablis, and Mosel.
Expect some glorious dry and pradikat (off-dry) wines from top estates, delicious snacks, and fierce debate over which producer turns out a better Kabinett Riesling from the Juffer vineyard in Brauneberg.
The perfect event for Riesling-freaks (yours truly) as well as novices just dipping their toes into the fuder.
Not to be missed. I, for one, will be there.”
